My First Job ( Data Entry Operator and Floor Supervisor)
New Year 2014 came. Five days pass like wind. Some times I think now time is going very fast not like my child hood. Since child hood I have beautiful memories with friends and family also we spent beautiful 13 years at school/ college. But now we are very busy we have to get up early and prepare for our jobs or day to day responsibilities that we are having as an adults.
After my college end of 2005 I went to work as a Data Entry operator. As a child also I have in my mind I have to do a job after my school. Since my A/L results not qualified me to start higher education at a university I have made my mind to go for a job. Luckily I have passed my first job interview in my life. Considering that time I have received a good salary from my first job , also I didn't take any money from bank for my use since at that time my father spend for me. Even my travelling fees. I can remember I was very simple girl at that time. I have dressed very simple Skirts blouses or jeans , T-Shirts. No makeup at all. only some perfume or powder. My work started at 7.00am and I have to leave home at about 5.30am since It's take more than one hour to go to office. I came home around 4.00pm since my shift was ending at 2.30pm.
Since I started this job after my English course I was fully energetic. It was very easy to work there since I have a good typing skill. Starting a job is good experience with different people. After few months there one of my supervisor called me and asked about my computer knowledge. Since he thought to take me for his position because of his resignation. I have perform well at the interview and I recruited as a floor supervisor there. It was a challengeable job and I learnt everything and start working in my new position. Supervising is a very stressful job. As a supervisor I have to deal with more than 35 employees and international higher management (Our MD if from Bangladesh). Since it is a out source company they have client requested targets and deadlines. Management is from Bangladesh and our clients are from USA. I need to engage all employees to the work and get there maximum. As a supervisor role I have to train new employees, take daily attendance ( Since at that time that office has only employee attendance book) , manage break time of employees and engage and communicate with clients when there are matters or doubts related to work.
Day by day job gets very challengeable for me since other two supervisors some times making troubles for me. There are some trouble makers from employees sides also. But I have deal with matters well even I am a person with less experience in this area. I can remember the time Government increased Rs.1000 budgetary allowance for all employees in our country. But our office management didn't add this to our salaries. I also didn't aware on this and employees begins to ask about that from me. So I went to the admin manager and told about this. Few employees also accompanied with me. It seems like they are purposely skipping this mandatory increment. After our conversation they promised to add this with the arias to our next months salary. Every one was happy. My salary also increased as per my promotion. But at that time I thought I'm doing more to the company than my salary. Anyway it is a good experience and I have continued there for one and half years. Also I think I'm very lucky to have job like this for the first time since it's made me sharp in this field.
The things I have learnt from there.
English is must. Even you should have basic understand , writing and speaking skill. (If you are at non English speaking country and your company clients are from UK, USA)
I will share my second job experience in a new episode. Good Luke with your new JOBs.
